UX Designer – BERLIN

As an Opinary UX Designer you’ll become part of a team whose technology intuitively visualizes complex debates, making polling interactive for over 50 million monthly users. Our publisher partners are global leading media platforms like Bild, Spiegel Online, Guardian US, “The Times”, Huffington Post and many more.
You’ll use your exceptional design skills and product instinct to turn high-level goals into detailed and convincing user experiences and designs. As part of the product team you’ll help shape the experience of future online debates and directly work with our product managers, engineers and data scientists.

 

Your challenges:

  • Collaborate with our team from diverse disciplines like journalism, data science and engineering to work on new and existing tools
  • Think about new user experiences that capture the essence of today’s debates and make them understandable in a fun and intuitive way
  • Devise coherent user journeys through our interactive polls
  • Create prototypes to quickly visualize and communicate solutions to complex design problems
  • Do user research and testing to better understand how to continuously improve our tools and what drives their engagement

You:

  • Work with a user-centric approach
  • A solid design background with an eye for visual details
  • Fluency in Sketch or similar tools to create screen based designs
  • Understand how to apply and create style guides and design patterns
  • Have a good understanding (challenges and advantages) of the current state of web technologies

Head of Publishers UK – LONDON

As Head of Publishers UK at Opinary you’ll become part of a team whose mission it is to give users a voice in online content. You’ll be building cooperations with leading digital publishers in the UK, helping them to engage, understand and monetize their users.

Your role

  • Proactively establish new publisher collaborations, highlighting and communicating the​ ​value​ ​that​​ Opinary​ ​drives​ ​both​ editorially​ and​ ​commercially
  • Adapt to​​ selling​ ​a​ ​multifaceted​ ​product​ ​to​​ ​diverse​ ​audiences
  • Know the ins and outs of the publishing industry, from traditional values to the latest trends and developments
  • Build​ and​ ​execute​ a​​ client​ roadmap​​ and​ sales​ strategy
  • Utilise your networking skills and personal contacts to establish Opinary as a fundamental part of our clients’ business models
  • Convert existing​ ​collaborations​ into​ monetization
  • Liaise internally between the advertising, editorial and product teams to ensure smooth implementation of new features and campaigns across the publisher network

Requirements

  • You have a deep knowledge of the publishing industry
  • You’re a natural born hustler with experience in sales
  • You’re an agile communicator, able to clearly synthesize complex information
  • You’re highly organized, structured and goal-driven
  • You flourish autonomously, whilst being a great team player
  • You have a curious mind and a desire for continuous improvement
  • You’re keen to travel, meet clients and spend time with the team in Berlin on a regular basis
