Opinion Research & Statistics expert (part time)

As an Opinary opinion research expert you will become part of a team whose technology intuitively visualizes complex debates, making the news interactive for over 15 million monthly users. You will generate deeper insight into our constant stream of opinion data, collected from deep integrations on global leading media platforms like Spiegel Online, Huffington Post, Handelsblatt, Focus and many more.

Your challenges
  • You will work closely with our CTO and CEO on developing a new representative polling product and will be the statistics expert in the process
  • You will use your data modelling skills to create representative and statistically meaningful panels from millions of news readers’ votes
  • You will use your creative analytical acumen to find patterns in our stream of millions of user opinions and communicate these in an engaging way
You
  • You have substantial experience in in a quantitative field (e.g. computer science, mathematics, econometrics, natural sciences etc.), ideally with a focus on statistics
  • You are comfortable working with either SQL / R / Python and have the coding skills to approach a data problem from end to end
  • You combine scientific rigour with a curious mind: asking great questions and having the ability to find an answer within a vast dataset
  • You are excited about the prospect of delving deep into our data set of public opinion that expands rapidly on a daily basis
